Pre-Registration for Dual Enrollment

Dual enrollment between post-secondary schools (community colleges, four-year colleges, trade and technical schools) and Octorara Area High School occurs when students are permitted to take courses through a post secondary institution, in addition to the courses students take at Octorara. This could be online or through brick and mortar schools and may occur during the school day or even at night or on weekends. Dual enrollment will give Octorara students the chance to earn college credits. Students who participate in a dual enrollment program with post-secondary schools will be responsible for the application process (fees, application, transcript, and other necessary supporting materials). The post-secondary institution will make the final decision on whether or not a student has been admitted. Students need to work closely with their high school counselor for scheduling purposes and to ensure that all high school graudation requirements are met.
